Unit Plan

Teacher candidates will choose a science topic and then develop a 5-day unit for that topic. The candidates will choose from four main strands (life science, physical science, earth science and space science). Each strand must be represented by a unit. Evidence of other subject areas and technology, appropriate assessment of student learning, planning for diverse learners, and classroom management is expected.

Create an outline for your unit plan. Your outline will need to include the topic of the unit, the rationale, performance objectives, an overview of the content, an outline of the content, a brief description of five lessons (not a lesson plan just a topic and overview), accommodations, and assessment strategies. Remember this is an outline we will add more details later. Keep the assignment in mind (listed above) when you are selecting your topic.

The outline is due Tuesday March 19.
